Meg Weston is a writer, photographer, teacher, and business consultant. She pursues a lifelong fascination with volcanoes, and her images are shown on this site in the Holocene Photo Gallery. Meg completed an MFA in Creative Writing at Lesley University (January 2008) with an interdisciplinary emphasis on creative non-fiction and photography. Meg teaches digital image editing at the University of Southern Maine, and pursues her own fine art photography. Exhibits in 2007 included a solo exhibition: “Lavascapes”, in Portland, ME, and a group show “Atelier 2007” in Cambridge, MA. The url www.volcanoes.com was given to her as a birthday gift in November 1996, and she maintains the site to showcase photos, stories and links to volcanic interests around the world. In addition to her interests in volcanoes, Meg has spent the past 25 years in leadership positions in imaging/ communications businesses. In 2002, Meg launched her own consulting practice, Weston Imaging LLC to work with businesses pursuing strategic marketing opportunities in the creative industries. She has written several articles on the future of consumer digital imaging for Photo Marketing Magazine. She also consults in affiliation with [F/22] Consulting, Inc., www.f22consulting.com and with LIF Group Inc., www.lifgroup.com. Meg’s business experiences have been as CEO of Printlife, a digital imaging-digital printing company, President of Konica’s U.S. photofinishing operations, and as President of the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram.eraqld.
